About Dare to be Unforgettable
The mission of Dare to be Unforgettable is two-fold: we want to provide services that make women feel like the very best version of themselves no matter the event; and we want to be a resource for women who want to learn how to style their hair themselves.
The Dare to be Unforgettable team is based out of Culpeper, Virginia and travels onsite providing high quality hair styling services for any event. We will also be launching a 2017 workshop series that will teach women how to braid, how to use various styling tools, how to accomplish their own hairstyles, etc. Like us on our Facebook page to learn more about these workshops!
About Jessica Mitchell
Jessica Mitchell, founder of Dare to be Unforgettable has been styling hair for weddings, events and theatre for over a decade. It was evident that styling hair was in her blood at an early age of 6 years old. Every barbie doll and baby doll in the house had a unique hairstyle all their own.
Born with thick and often ‘difficult’ red hair, Jessica spent hours learning how to not only tame ‘the beast’ but to wield it into a style that inspired confidence. Understanding that, somehow, hair had the power to affect your confidence, determine your mood and create your identity, Jessica became passionate about empowering women to feel like the best version of themselves through their hairstyles.
Jessica’s passion for hair design came to fruition through theatre. She has led a hair and makeup team for more than 10 different productions ranging from “Hello, Dolly!” to “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” While in college, Jessica led the University’s Theatre Hair and Makeup Department, designing for more than 5 productions including “The Importance of Being Earnest” for which she earned a nomination for the Mehron Award for Hair and Makeup.
Whether it’s the theatre, a wedding, a homecoming a prom, or even just a date night, Jessica looks to bring unforgettable hairstyles to every memorable moment.
