Do you travel to my location on the wedding day?

Yes, we will travel to your location on the day of your wedding. Travel fees may apply to locations out of our travel area.

What are your rates?

Please contact us and we’ll be glad to send you information on our rates. For faster response, kindly provide your event type, date, time, venue and number of individuals needing service.

How long does the trial take?

If you are booking both hair and makeup we encourage you to set aside 2 - 2 ½ hours for the trial.

I haven’t decided on a hairstyle yet; is that a problem?

Not at all! I highly encourage you to spend some time on Pinterest to find 3-5 pictures of hairstyles that catch your eye. When we have the trial run through we will talk through what you like and don’t like about each picture and create a style from there.

Do I need hair extensions?

Hair extensions are a great option if you are looking for added length or added volume. Based on the pictures of hairstyles that you are interested in we will be able to make recommendations on the necessity of hair extensions.

When should I get my hair colored/cut before the event?

A good hair care routine should begin at least 6 months prior to the event. Regular trims and color upkeep with your hairdresser every 8 - 10 weeks is highly recommended to build trust with your stylist, give time for the proper steps in achieving the final cut and color and keep the hair healthy. A final visit to your hairdresser is recommended no later than 2 weeks from your event.

How do I need to prep my hair for the event?

Hair styling works best with day-old hair. Please wash your hair the night before the trial run or event and make sure it is completely dry before you go to bed. Blow drying is fine however do not use a flat iron. If you struggle with extremely greasy hair you can spray it with water (no shampoo) in the morning and blow dry it so that it is completely dry before our scheduled start time.

What do I need to have with me at the trial run?

The trial is a great opportunity to experience with different looks and so it is important to have all of the pieces you will be using on the day of the event. If you are a bride you will want to have your veil (if not in hand at least chosen), your dress (not in hand but decided on), any hair pieces/clips and/or flowers. If you are going to an event you will want to have an idea of what your outfit will look like and any hair accessories that you would like incorporated into the look. This helps you get a firm idea of how it will all come together on the day of the event.

Is the hair trial required?

The short answer is no. However, I strongly encourage a trial for my Brides. This time before your big day gives us an opportunity to find what works and doesn’t work so that there are no surprises on the day of your wedding.

How long does hair styling take?

This is dependent on a number of factors including hair length, thickness, texture, desired style, etc. On average it takes about 45 minutes from start to finish.

I am not sure what makeup look I want on my wedding day, can you help me find the right look?

Yes, we will work together on finding the right look for you. On the trial, we can go over different looks you have researched, and we will work on creating that look. From vintage to modern to natural, we can create whatever look you are looking for. We will also work with you to identify and accentuate your most flattering features to reveal your natural beauty.

Will my makeup last all day?

At Blush Away we only use high quality makeup products and tools. We design a skin prep for each client based on their skin type before the application, this is a huge factor in getting the makeup to last all day. With the skin prep combined with the professional makeup application your makeup will be designed to last your entire wedding day.

What happens at the Bridal trial?

We start the trial with a detailed consultation focusing on skin care, nutrition and your makeup needs for your wedding day. At Blush Away we work in a holistic way, where we not only provide a professional makeup service, but we look at and focus on your skin care, nutrition and lifestyle to get that perfect glowing makeup look on your wedding day. We believe that a good skin care routine plus good nutrition equals a radiant makeup look.
After, discussing your skin care, we will work with you on getting you on a good routine for your skin type. We will also guide you on a good nutrition plan to help your skin and energy levels before your wedding. We will discuss the details of your wedding including dresses, hair, flowers, theme etc. We will then work together to create the desired makeup look for your wedding day.

How long does the makeup application take?

The average wedding day makeup application takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. The trials however, will take longer as we will be doing the full consultation, working on creating the right look for you and giving you a skin care plan to follow the month up to your wedding. The time is usually between 1 ½ to 2 hours.

Do I have to book Makeup and Hair services separately?

Nope, there is no extra effort on your part. We coordinate with each other on our end so that you only have to communicate with one person and work with one contract.

Who do I pay?

When you sign a contract with us you will write two separate checks. We will outline exact amounts and who to make the checks out to within the contract along with mailing instructions. This allows us to each pay additional artists as well as purchase any product needed to make your day flawless.

Why are there two companies?

We feel that in order to offer the very best to our clients the team needs to be comprised of artists equally passionate about their areas of expertise. By partnering together we are able to offer a well rounded beauty experience without compromising the quality of services.

Dare to be You.

You deserve to feel like the very best version of yourself no matter the occasion. Contact us for more information on our rates and availability!
